RE: Generator to run a AC unit in the Travel Star ck19

As someone said big can of worms you open, they all do the job after a certain amount of watts, We purchased a Kipor 3500 for a hair under a $1000.00 and it's been running great and qiet and clean power for over 3.5 yrs for me it was a great investment. Yamahas and Honda's were just to costly for me, just to be able to run the air. Good luck!

RE: Weight on rear bumper

I have a 21SS, And had a rear deck welded on off the rear bumper 3.5 ft deep and as wide as the trailer! I use it to hold our generator in a closed box which wieghts I beleive about 150 lbs and a table and 4 lawn chairs. althou the weld is large and heavy duty, I say just beaf up the weld and go for it, because the weight does not play a big role in the ride. Frank The extra tire has just been move back to now the new rear bumper.

Tremont in Townsend, TN

Not really into bad mouthing campsites but here we go, Originally booked a river site for $58.00 a night for memorial week, so that meant an additional night because we were staying over into Sunday because of the Holiday 7 nights booked. Two weeks later found out could not have that week off, so changed the vacation. Called, but this time only staying for 6 nights and not having river site available put me away from the river on a $50.00 site. Well to make this adjustment it cost $20.oo for the move and I had to carry over my original length of stay 7 night although We were leaving in six nights and pay the $58.00 for the $50.00 site, This gets alittle confusing but it cost us 7x58.00 plus $20.00 to changes the date $426.00 for $300.00 worth of site Plus there off the wall taxes. Sorry Tremont never seeing us again...............

RE: Generator Storage

Yes Kipors are not like Honda's and Yahmaha's, there are a little cheaper, My Kipor has been running my 21ss on about 12 or more dry runs and ran all these day's without a hickup, very qiet and smooth, Large gas tank long running time, Great Generator. Frank

RE: Generator Storage

Personally, We purchased a KIPOR Generator Just under a thousand and it work GREAT. electric start and run's everything in the camper, and when traveling it sits in a plastics box which is bolted down to the 4ft by 7ft addition platform we welded on to the rear bumper which also travels very fine, along with the generator it also holds dog cage, outdoor carpet, and some outdoor chairs, nincly, and none of this disturbs the weight issues. Travels fine. Frank It is also camper qiet.

RE: Water Pressure Problem

We have a 21ss Roo, I also found it to have low pressure, and what I did was first take the filter out of the inline canister, The filter steals alot of pressure. We don't drink out of the faucet so no problems there, and if we cook we boil it first, and the shower was are biggest problem and talking with these folks I found a restricter on the shower line that I just redrilled or you can just take it out, That helped alot, NOW I have had no problem, but some people are going to mention watching the pressure at some of the campsites. Been two yrs like this and no problem. Hope I can help.Frank

RE: Replacement mattress for ends

I agree, But going to give it a try next week, since it will not be a special order I could return it, if it does not fit, but watching it fold in the hideabed just might work. Will keep this site aware. Thank's Frank

Replacement mattress for ends

Replacing our foam mattress with a spring one from a hideabed unit, We have a bed maker called Verlo here on Wisconsin, Size they say it's just a stock queen 60 x 80 and they claim at 5 inches tall just 1 inch taller then the foam one, that it will bend just as easy as the stock one, I believe with the spring mattress I am hoping to get a better sleep. Has any one tried this particular arrangement, I know I will be loosing the heated top, but I can alway's purchase a heated cover. Thank's Frank

I use the same setup as gaffer222, works great for me and as far as roll it up when you leave just to much work when I am on Vacation, Rachets and the spring twisted coil in the ground work great, And when the wind picks up and the **** hits the fan, you better hopes it up then.
